Perhaps best known for Times Square and New York's famed Broadway theater district, the area is nothing if not colorful. The original residential neighborhood of Midtown West, known as Clinton, has streets lined with walk-ups and a sudden burst of new, high-rise luxury buildings.
Today, the neighborhood has developed a real definition, with an abundance of ethnic restaurants and grocers, chic and trendy eateries and some of the busiest and most exciting bars and lounges. Midtown West has arrived!
The upper region of the area, reaching the southern end of Central Park is home to many large and stylish prewar apartment houses, although the majority of these are now converted to co-op and condominium units.
